Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the autogps.com.au web site ("Web Site"). This document contains the Terms and Conditions that govern your use of the Web Site. These Terms and Conditions describe your rights and responsibilities and what you can expect from Autogps Australia (AutoGPS.com.au). Please take a few minutes to review these Terms and Conditions. Your use of the Web Site constitutes your agreement to abide and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any of these Terms and Conditions, please do not use the Web Site. Autogps.com.au reserves the right to add to, delete or change these Terms and Conditions from time to time and without notice. By continuing to use the Web Site, you agree to be bound by the changes. We are not obliged to notify you of any changes but we will endeavor to alert you to any significant changes. Nevertheless, you should check our published agreement and policies from time to time to acquaint yourself with the current version.

Placing orders through the Web Site

You must be at least 18 years old to place any orders with AutoGPS.com.au. By using the Web Site you acknowledge that you are at least 18 years old.

By purchasing any goods through the Web Site, you make an offer to us to purchase the goods you have selected based on these Terms and Conditions. Information contained on the Web Site constitutes an invitation to treat. No information on the Web Site constitutes an offer by us to sell any goods. AutoGPS.com.au reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in its sole discretion. We will confirm acceptance of your order when we send you an email confirming shipment of the goods you have ordered. If we are unable to process or accept your order after payment is received we will contact you by email or telephone.

Correction of Errors and Inaccuracies, Limitations on Quantity

Whilst AutoGPS.com.au makes every reasonable effort to present accurate information on the Web Site, the information may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies and may not be complete or current. We therefore reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order and/or made payment).

Sale of Goods and Delivery

On your request, we will organise for the delivery of your order to your designated delivery address. Our delivery contractors are Australia Post and various couriers. Each product page will show the delivery charge for that item. Our delivery fee is made up of a Base Fee plus a Weight Fee that depends on the destination and weight of each product. Some items are post free of charge as indicated. Please note that delivery fee usually included in the total price and it is not refundable in cause if you return the item. All our GPS Navigation systems come with pre-loaded software and If not, we clearly mention it on the web product page. We provide many different maps and GPS software. We provide map updates time to time only if we receive it from our supplier. In some cases, we may not receive any update throughout the year or supplier may discontinue map update. We cannot guarantee that map updates are available and it may not continue in the future. Some map suppliers provide paid update service that can be purchased through provider websites.

Warranty and repairs

Warranty period is generally one year after purchase date. Some items may have six months warranty and we clearly mention the warranty period for each item when you purchase. If the item is faulty, we will repair it. If we can not repair it, we will replace the item. For all warranty repairs, buyer need to post the item to our store. We will refund postage chargers for all warranty repairs. We can not take the responsibility for physical damages , damages caused by water or incorrect installations. There will be a 12% restocking charges apply if you decide to return items purchased through the website.

In case of a warranty repairs or replacements, customer needs to bear the additional cost of installation charges with your local installer. We only replace, repair the unit itself and we do not pay or reimburse any installation charges. It is customer responsibility to pay any extra cost associate with installation, reinstallation or remove unit from the car. Please talk to your local installer and agree with after service support before you install the unit. In case of a full return and refund, we only issue the cost of the unit (12% restocking charge apply). You will not be able to claim any installation charges. We only accept returns within 14 days after the delivery. Please note that the returned items must be in original condition with original packing.

Installing Third-Party Software / Maps

We only provide support for the software and maps ship with the units we sell. Installing other software may damage the system and we will not take the responsibility in such cases. We advertise some third-party software may work with these units (Maps or Android software) but we cannot guarantee that it will be fully compatible with these units due to different third-party configurations. 

GPS Maps and software

Most of our units come with pre-installed GPS maps with a SD card attached to the unit. Map updates are not always free. You will have to pay for updates and updates will come once a year. We are purchasing maps from third-party map providers and they may stop supplying map updates without a notice. We are trying our best to provide you the latest map updates but in case of our supplier stop producing map updates, we will not be able to supply updates in the future. 

Missing streets and areas on the GPS map is one of the issues we face time to time. We try our best to report missing areas/streets to the map provider and get you the update. There may be long delays to get updates depending on the arear and due to technical difficulties.

Shipping and handling

We post items via Australia Post or any other selected delivery services. We cannot take responsibility for postal delays caused by the courier/postal company. We register most of the items when we post and most of the items require signature on delivery.

All items purchased from AutoGPS.com.au covered by a 1-year Genuine Australian Warranty. We are a PayPal Verified company. When you purchase through PayPal, you will be eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection. Please visit www.paypal.com.au for more details.
